The third season of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s The Strain is ready to roll. As the season opens, the city of New York is besieged, and the Master’s diabolic bloodsucking infection is spreading out of control, while new and old vampires become are stronger daily, or rather – nightly.
As humanity’s future hangs in the balance, ready to fall our group of ragtag heroes is the only thing standing in the way of the monstrous bloodsuckers. But will they do? A heartbroken Ephraim Goodweather, but in possession of the Lumen is bent on revenge and eager to take the fight straight to the vampires’ turf.
Assisting Eph in this endeavor are Vasilly Fet, a former exterminator who has found his vocation in finding blood sucking corpses, and Abraham Setrakian – a Holocaust survivor who vowed to chase the Master until his or the Master’s last day.
But the window of opportunity is rapidly closing as the vampire forces conquer their way through the human population like a conscious plague. Resources are dwindling and so are humans who can use them to improve the situation.
The third season of The strain began its run in some places around the world, while we were on vacation in the Alps. But don’t worry, we’re back now and we won’t leave you alone with all the gory action from the wonderfully twisted minds of del Toro and Hogan.
